Congratulation on your new house.. .
I don't know too much about maintenance
my version of maintenance is kick the thing til it works.. jk ...kinda ... lol

I would check the chimney.. who knows what made it there home

my First house had that problem. Luckily my home inspector noticed it and i got some money off closing. but i ended up having 17 leaks and the water damage to go along with finding the leaks. i learned plumbing real quick.

it there a way of finding leaks other than running around the house looking and listening for water. the breaks were so large pressure test would not work.

i had winterized stickers every ever too when i got my house. trust nothing when buying a house.

I asked about one particular thing. That along with ideas. Ideas relating to a furnace not the pipes etc. etc. The thread was clear.
I went to another source and got specific information not conjecture.
You aren't talking to an internet noob here.;)
Thaw the pipes??? They aren't frozen!!!:D I was the one who winterized the place to begin with. Though that info did not pertain to the thread.

:) My apologies, I will submit you to no further conjecture.
