Hello friends, I am Adela from Calgary. I want to raise some serious issues caused by hard water. Due to the use of hard water, my taps and showers got damaged. Last month, I searched for image plumbing emergency services in Calgary and contacted for their service. They serviced the pipes and showers. Minerals that exist in hard water creates these problems. When the heater is on, these minerals precipitate out of the water and forms mineral deposits, which affects our household appliances.
I am facing a lot of difficulties with the hard water. Bathroom appliances will get damaged very fast. Either I should have to change the hard water system and introduce a softener system, or I would have to provide regular services for bathroom appliances. Including me, my family is facing several health issues like hair fall, allergies and skin problems.
Can anyone help me? Is water softener system a solution to my problem?

Thank you for your reply Jeocaption. How can I test it? plumber says that regular damage of pipes and showers are due to hard water supply.

I wonder why some people word their question in a way that it looks like spam.
Oh, no..It is one of common difficulty faced by many women. I am searching for a solution. And I believe I will get it soon. Anyway, Thank you for your reply.

Not sure how it works there but around here there's lots of company's that sell water nothing but treatment systems and will test the water for free, but then you have to but up with there high pressure sales pitch.
Any plumber or plumbing supply house should also be able to help you get it tested.
The state will also test your water for a small fee.

Thank you for your information. Let me check out the companies.
