DWV pipe coupling from 1-1/2" ABS to 1-1/2" ABS?

People, what do you think if I use a neoprene coupling directly on an ABS angle? There is at least 11/16" of good surface there, closer to an inch if I cover the "1 1/2" marking on the ABS angle. Elsewhere I've used the neoprene parts they cover about 1" of the pipe.

Trying to simplify. Here's one of the members I got in yesterday that's easier to photograph, just to give an idea how tight it is up there. Headroom gets smaller to the left and back, above the sink,

I’m not a pro. For a vent line I wouldn’t have any problem doing that.

I didn't get a picture when I was up there last but the only picture that really matters is this one. Houston, we have an ABS run hanging from rafters to a no-hub on the Cu roof penetration. There's another no-hub immediately after the horizontal turn, just above where this photo shows. I gave it a proper little length of ABS pipe to grab onto after all and did not use the workaround I asked about in message #21.

For good measure here's a pic of the kit I used to crawl up there several times. What's not in the picture is, I didn't have the nerve to use the ABS glue in the confined space, it smells bad enough outdoors in my opinion. There was a lot of climbing up and down to do glue something, see where it comes out, measure the next run, glue the next thing, rinse and repeat. There's five new elbows between the mud room ceiling you see here and the roof, four ABS and copper in the end. In the end there are 3 no-hub couplers, not two, one of them being ABS to copper instead of ABS to ABS.

So, on to the actual sink. I probably have a question about that I'll be posting.
