This is more for entertainment than actually seeking input to repair this yard. I like to keep track of the worst lawns I take care of over the year, and this one took the cake! I hope you get a kick out of it, and at least view it as a PSA to not let your yard get out of control :)

Sorry Brad, but I made it about 65 seconds before I had to turn off the video. I think I'd rather watch paint dry. It is much more interesting, however I'll give you a c+ for your effort trying to promote your gardening business, but gardeners around here are a dime a dozen.

Haha, no hard feelings, I know this type of video isn't for everyone!

I’m a grass cutting guy and I have cut far worse. As a kid I had a small JD lawn tractor I won and started a mowing business at about 10 years old. I charged a buck or two per yard. A guy stopped me and told me he would give me 10 bucks to mow his back yard about an acre that was as high as my little tractor was tall. Ten bucks seemed like a million then and I took the job. I could have mowed 50 $1 yards in the time that acre took, but I got it done and my dad chewed my a$$ for beating the machine up.

I watched the whole vid but jumped along maybe took a minute and a half.

Welcome to the forum stick around we get lots of yard questions in the spring.

I don’t think we would deem your video a promo as I doubt you want to travel 1000s of miles to cut a lawn.

I enjoyed it.
:welcome:

In a past life I was an editor in the Hollywood film industry. I would have liked to see this as a 5-10 minute video about some of the tips and tricks (and gear, if applicable) a pro uses to get an out of control lawn into shape, shown with a kind of highlight reel approach for each step in the process. Think of how "This Old House" or a show like that might do it.

There's a lot of Youtube content like that, and I think it's a great way to do promotion because it really shows you know what you're talking about while also creating something that is both entertaining and informative. This guy's videos exemplify what I mean: https://www.youtube.com/user/MattRisinger/videos (I have no affiliation with him, I just like his videos.)

Twenty-three minutes of sped-up footage of you weed-whacking and mowing doesn't deliver any of that, and is pretty monotonous. I think that's why Havasu said it was boring.

Exactly. Stick around and show us some tips. Have you ever thought of eliminating that spool and installing those trimmer ends that lock on and don't spool out?
