Curbless Shower Leaking into Bathroom. Help!

I have a curbless shower that is leaking. Upon investigation, it appears the water is rising up over the lip created by the shower pan (under the tile) and seeping out under the baseboards. The shower's drain seems to be functioning correctly (IE, it is not backing up). I believe this was an installation issue, but it is too late to go back to the contractor. I am wondering what my options are? Specifically, is there any easier option other than pulling out the tile and redoing the pan? I was wondering if I could remove the tile right outside the glass door, and make curb to contain the water? Any help would be very appreciated.

First you need to ascertain how long running the shower it takes for the water to overcome the flood rim, or if the fault lies in the direction the showerhead is pointing.

The shower runs approximately 10-15 minutes before it overcomes the rim. Moving the showerhead doesn't seem to change anything.

There should be a 2" drain and that amount of water should be well handled by the drain. you may have an accumulation of debris in the trap

How old is this shower? If it is a lead pan, I believe you will have to remove the entire shower floor.

I am not an expert, but I have rental properties. A similar thing happened at one of my rentals a few years ago. As I understand it, any water that gets through the tile, hits the lead pan and is supposed to drain into the shower drain. If that path is blocked, water will build up on the lead pan, and eventually overrun the lip of that lead pan, just as you are describing. The only solution was to completely remove
the entire tiled shower stall, and replace it. We chose to replace it with an acrylic unit.
