Has anyone tried using these? Any idea of costs or availability? No info on the website about retailers or cost. I have sent an email to the contact us section asking.

Looks like a good design. I didn’t see what the cost was.

I have built more stairs using cleats than stringers and I find it a better way for open outdoor steps in particular.

I'm thinking of composite and you need more than two stringers for those, so you'd need to cut the middle stringers unless you used something like this. I haven't gotten an email back with pricing yet. I didn't see it on the website either.
 
It is a nice design and they figured out a way to adjust for different slopes and rise and runs in a ready made device. I think I could make something similar pretty easy if I knew it was for just one given set of stairs could even be made from wood. I really like not cutting all those birds mouths and weakening the stringer.
