Our Samsung Gas Range model #NX58H5600SS has an issue that seems to have just started with a fluctuating and inconsistent oven temperature. I placed the probe from my smoker grill in the oven and the temperature (set at 350° F) would rise to above 350 and below 350 and then back and forth. I've looked at the manual and I'm thinking that it might be the temperature sensor.
Any other thoughts on what might be going on? Thanks in advance.

Is this a gas or electric oven? A gas burner will cycle on & off and is normal. How many degrees over/under does it fluctuate?
I appreciate your reply but, in the subject line I mention that this is a gas, not electric, oven.
Anyway, since my post, I've determined that the temperature sensor for this model is defective.

I'm not seeing where I can close this post as resolved but, I've determined through some research and testing that the temperature sensor has gone bad.

I'm kind of surprised it isn't a total failure. I have the NX58K7850SS, which looks to be a Double Oven version of yours. Mine never heated correctly from day 1, it would be off by more than 50 degrees compared to 3 brand new temp gauges.

The upper oven wouldn't cook anything, like a GEO going up a hill. It took 50 plus minutes for a Papa Murphy's Pizza, for example. The tech that showed up said my problem was using the divider between the ovens. He said without the divider, it should work fine, eliminating the entire concept of a double oven, like the Mashed potatoes and Gravy up top and the Turkey down below... If you were considering a Double Oven, I would steer clear of Samsung at least.

The Oven seal finally completely quit so it's useless. Cleaning it doesn't help. I still use the Range, and when I turn the burners on, it will turn on the oven lights. It's truly possessed, and Lowe's didn't want to deal with repairing it, so they refunded my entire purchase price.

So, lesson learned... I will ALWAYS get a 5 Year extended warranty on all appliances. My original service call would have been more $$$ than the warranty.

I hope yours works fine, and I think my problem was I didn't get a single oven.

I have had a lot of problems with our Viking ovens. High end American made but horrible. However in a conversation with a factory tech guy he said industry standards say the +/- 50 F @ 350F is considered in spec. Meaning if you set 350 but is actually 400 you're in spec. Most ovens will fluctuate 20-40 F from the set point. Precise temperature control gets more expensive than people would likely pay. My ovens take about 20 minutes to heat to 350 F and 40+ to hit 425 F.

I have some good quality multi-input thermometers I use for cooking. I put a couple leads in my oven to record the heat up time and the temperature ranges over time. Helped me diagnose some issues.
