Entryway step

Going into my house I have a 10 step from the concrete porch. I would like to put a step of some kind there but not sure what to do.

Marvinlee, not really sure what your question is. Post a picture of the area you are talking about and welcome to House Repair Talk.

I think Marvinlee is saying that the step is 10" high so he wants to install an intermediate step to make it a shorter rise. Pretty sure Marvinlee can just put something together with treated lumber and anchor it to the concrete porch. Anchor some boards to the porch and then build your box-like step to place over the boards and then drill through the box into the boards.

Yes I would like an intermediate step. Is it possible to pour a concrete step and anchor to the porch and if so how big should it be (width,length and height). Would I be better off buying a precast step and anchoring it somehow.
