Hi all, I'm removing paint with a chemical paint stripper from my handrails and ballisters. how do I get the paint out of the small valleys in the wood? thanks

Dental type scraping tools. Look in the tools section of your local paint supplier.

Or better yet sand them down or your still going to have pits.

thanks for responding, but I think I'm going to do the sanding part that another poster suggested. I don't have the patience. I thought I could use a stiff brush to remove the paint. thanks anyway.

thanks for responding. I'm going to take your suggestion. after sanding and stainning. 3 coats of polyureathene good enough?

I would have a conglomareate of stuff, light paper, heavy paper and a small stiff brush. Yes 3 coats will do you just fine:)

thanks, luckily today there is rain outdoors, good time for indoor project. thanks all for responding

Sanding will be the good option. Due to this, the wood furnishing will also be done together.
