I assume my roof is leaking somewhere...

As the pictures spell it out, I have water staining on the cieling above the dining room. At first glance I'm not exactly sure how I am going to figure out where it is leaking without having to tear out the cieling... Not sure if anyone knows of any budget fixes for something like this. It is my...

    Hard Wiring Existing dishwasher

Here are some pictures of the cord leading into the DW. Seems to be in pretty rough shape, the outlet is quite a distance from here so I am assuming you are correct in the fact it needed to be extended.

    Hard Wiring Existing dishwasher

Interesting, it is wired directly into the dishwasher, should I be concerned if it's not the right cord, is this a quick fix or should I reach out to an electrician?

    Hard Wiring Existing dishwasher

Hello, When I bought the home all new appliances had been installed. Well it looks like the dishwasher was partially installed. From what I can tell they stripped the plug from the cord exposing the wiring. It looks pretty simple to me, white to white, black to black, but I want to make sure...

    Baseboard Shifting Issues

Thank you all for your input! You can't really tell from the photo but the trim on the left is actually about a 1/8" off the flooring, as you keep moving down it actually is flush with the floor.

    Baseboard Shifting Issues

Not a total old home purist and wouldn't mind replacing the trim, but the separation is probably part of a bigger issue that I should be concerned about?

    Baseboard Shifting Issues

Hello, Just bought my first home! The list grows! Anyway I have this baseboard that's been bugging me since we moved in. As far as I can tell the main board is original to the home (1830's) with the trim added later on. From the picture you can tell that the baseboard has shifted quite a bit (...
