    I picked up a new capacitor from Grainger for $5.00. Put it in this AM and so far so good. The blower starts right up and no more burnt wire smell. I guess I will no for sure after a few more heating cycles. Thanks, Brian

    That was because I took the photo after defrosting. It had a big coat of ice and I could see the coils were solid ice at the time. Thanks again for the reply!

    The ice builds up on the coil cover. I have not yet removed it. The the pic had on my original post is the only one.

    Thanks for the reply Jeff. I had the drain line replaced about two years ago when the bottom of the freezer kept filling up with a layer of ice.

    I had a setback with this thing. I ended up burning up the transformer and not sure why. I went and got another one and mounted it with an inline fuse on the hot 24 volt wire. Now I am not getting any power to the transformer. I used the same wires from the old one! Checked with volt meter...
