Is there a special rebar with larger edges (ribbed) for extra holding strength when putting it in concrete bond beam blocks ?
Or will regular rebar work just fine ?

Im not sure of your specific application but I forgot to mention that you might want to consider installing some rigid foam board in between the furring strips.
Im not sure about the edcon block but if they are like the old common concrete cinder block then you would need to install wood strips that are at least one and one-half inches thick so the vinyl siding nail has enough wood to sink into. You might want to install insect screening at the bottom...
Sounds great. Is there a special teflon tape for this or is it the same small teflon tape that I currently have and use on 1/4" air line fittings ?

I got the drawing glennjanie. Its 8 3/4" and 14 3/4" I will be sure to get it as close as possible. That way i guess the drain pipe will fit straight in the P trap stub up...I hope;)
