Hello, about three days ago, my door handle broke. (See the images) I don’t have any experience with repairing door handles. Should I replace the door handle or can I stick it with metal glue?

Removing the door handle

I have watched videos about door handles and all door handles have some tiny hole on it and when you push it with screwdriver or something, door handle can be removed. I can’t see anything like that on this door handle. I only see that big button, that moves downward and upward, should this be the thing that serves as a purpose to remove the handle? (Images 4,6) It does not lock the door, so either it is broken if it is door locker button or it’s the button that removes the handle. I have tried removing the handle few times, when I moved that button upward and downward but I don’t think that’s the button for removing the handle, because it did not come out and I don’t want to push it too hard, I am worried that I will break it.
Can you help me please? It’s not my home and I have to repair it anyway. I am a student, and I have four exams in the following week and I don’t want to spend too much time on it. Please, can you help me?

English is not my native language, I hope you understand what I wrote

Looking forward to hearing back from you :)

The screws that hold the back plate to the door is what you have go to.
Remove those screws and that complete handle will come off and the handle on the other side of the door will come off to.
The real trick will be finding a new one.

Look for a hole in the bottom of that handle, most have a set screw that comes out so whole handle can come off.
Not coming off without the handle removed.
And yes that piece that moves up and down should be the lock.
