So who has some ideas about how to get the squirrels off my feeders.
I have a hearty bunch, and don't mind them hangin around underneath while the birds throw them some bones.
But some of these characters are good at emptying the things by the time I get home from work. I see em standing on top of the feeder flippin me the bird.:D (beware of sensors)
The poles are 8 feet curved tops with a bunch of vaseline on em now. I tried the pan flashing thing halfway up to keep them at bay...but these guy's are acrobats. One triple lindy backflip and they pull them selves up and over.
Besides shootin, trappin and hurtin em, are there Any more ideas i'm not thinkin about?

If you want to get their attention do as I have done, mount the feeders on top of a steel post, take aluminum duct tape and put on the perch area and run an extension cord to the tape securing the hot side to the tape, it doesn't take them long to learn to stay off. Enjoy the show!

If you unplug it first NO problem, or just do not touch the foil tape. But be advised my squirrels did learn to pull the plug apart that I have at the ground one time. One thing about it I have not had any try to get on the feeder for over 2 months now and I live in 5 acres of woods with lots of squirrels on the property.

I have been living in the country now for the fast 7 years and i have only ever had 1 squirrel in all that time and it only stayed a few minutes .If you have a dog or a few cats you won,t have that problem long .
