So I said "Confused",
and was not allowed to register.

Now, if it had said "Name a State on the West Coast of USA.",
I would have not misunderstood.

I was going to complain to the management, but I figgered not on the first post.

So, HI!
From Sacramento area.

Welcome David! Go ahead and complain. We love turmoil.

I have only been there once and have relatives that live there. The official name should be Confusion and I find that an acceptable answer.

Hi David. I’m the one that didn’t capitalize state.

“When you're not sure, follow the catchall rule for capitalization that stipulates we should capitalize proper nouns (names) and leave common nouns in lower case. Therefore, treat Washington State as a proper noun, but "state" in "state of Washington" as a common noun and use lowercase.“
Results from when I googled when to capitalize state.

Hawaii ??? :) As this progresses I think you all are making my point to change the name of California to Confusion.

We could change it to anything else, if everyone agrees, and easy enough for me to remember the answer.

Just leave it. No one else has complained, and I think this complaint is really just for being fun and a tad sarcastic. No reason to change.

But, if serious what would be the question and answers?

How about the old stand by..."Name the country that borders the United States to the north?" Canookland!

The state might be high

Flashing my "Grammar Police" badge

Lower case "state" is a verb or adverb, while upper case "State" is a noun or pronoun. "State of California" or "California State" refers to a place, while "state of California" refers to what condition it's in, which usually borders on the state of insanity although nobody is sure where that border is anymore :D

Google and giggle are intentionally very close together as a lot of what it tells you these days is laughable :(

OMG, another Grammar Nazi! :(

Nope, just having some Phun. And NOT planning to advance from being a Jr. Grammar Police- I do like the shiny plastic badge I got out of my Cracker Jack's box :p

I heard there's a move afoot out there to split California into 3 States. I wonder what they will name them?Insane, Lessane, and Notsaneatall would be my suggestions :D

I was for it as it was a way to keep the nutty liberals in their own state. Problem was, the split was determined to be unconstitutional, and removed from the ballot.

Darn, I was hoping that the saner part of California could get release from the most insane part of California and have a chance at a real life and not one of Granola thoughts. (flakes and nuts abounding). Heck, from all I read of some of the nasty streets of San Francisco, it would take a title wave to wash many streets.

I still think San Francisco is a beautiful place, except for their political thoughts that robbing from the rich and giving to the poor is perfectly acceptable there.
