I have been searching for a solution to stop the draft coming from the bottom of my basement door. It's about a 1/4 gap. I have a nylon door sweep i attached to the front but it doesn't cover it all. The problem is, it is not level and when i open the door with a pile door sweep i tried, it leaves fine scratches in the finish of my wood floor from rubbing at points (didnt think it could do that!). To put a threshold is not possible because the lip of the stair is right as you open the door.
