I am going to get bids on spray forma insulation for our crawl space as well as the walls.

I want the space between the floor joists to be foamed. Also the walls have insulation in them now. I want to have them put insulation in the walls as well.

Has anyone done this and if so were the benefits of doing worth it?

With that little info impossible to know what to do.

Crawl space or basement under the house?
There's no way to "add" foam insulation to a wall that's already insulated.

With a sealed crawlspace, you need to seal the ground to keep moisture out, insulate the walls, close off the vents and add conditioned air to the crawlspace. You don't need to keep it as warm as above but you need to circulate air down there. Google "conditioned crawlspace" for more details. www.buildingscience.com has a lot of good information.
