screw broke off. dont want to remove wall.

That's an old Moen 1225 cartridge. If it's really corroded in there you may have to soak it with BP Blaster (rust penetrate) a couple times. They have a "cartridge removal tool" but the puller part relies on the screw hole being intact. But the removal tool is used to twist the cartridge to break it loose. Once it rotates freely you can usually use plyers to pull it out.

moen 1225 b cartridge are guaranteed for life. Just remove the clip and twist and pull out cartridges, that it to any real plumber parts store , hand it in get new one, install new one replace clip , turn on water .

I promise you ,if you go to a plumber for a free cartridge you will make them laugh. The only way to get your free cartridge is directly from Moen.
If you xan spin the cartridge you have a chance of getting it out. The rubber gaskets will fight you the whole way and it will require a tool to spin it but it can be done. Once removed you will have to confirm both rubber gaskets are completely removed , I usually set them to the side and piece them back together. For a novice it may take over an hour to complete. The biggest part is to not score the barrel.
