Hi,
I am planning to resurfacie concrete basement floor using NewCrete resurfacer. I want a smooth surface, no broom finish. I want to coat the resurfacer with one part water based epoxy/acrylic paint (Behr 90201). Can I add the paint instead of water (a part of water) used to mix the resurfacer to improve base color match and adhesion to the paint? How long should I wait to apply the paint?

no, you can't - each must be done separately,,, there's no guarantee of compatibility using behr in the newcrete,,, HOWEVER newcrete should have pigments which can be mixed into the newcrete & negate having to apply any behr,,, good luck w/the finish you want to achieve,,, smooth is extremely difficult,,, consider newcrete w/NO aggregate ( just polymers, white cement, & water ) otherwise you'll be sanding & creating lots of dust
