I used some flex seal paint on a basement window and it's only less than a year old but doing the job well. I've been looking at some other of the FlexSeal products as well and was wondering what any other DIY guys out there had experienced with flexseal products. Thx
 
I have used the 4 inch Flex Tape to close up some pin hole rust out leaks on the flat bottom of steel gutters.

Wire brush all the crud and loose stuff off.
Remove all dust.
Clean with rubbing alcohol, let dry.

Patch on top side of gutter bottom, lay it on very smoothly, burnish it down to make contact, extend several inches beyond the leaky area.

It sticks very well, even if the gutter holds water.

I have been tempted to prime the old steel with some of the Flex Seal spray, but so far have not.

Easier than cutting a piece of flashing or sheet metal, bedding it in roofing cement, and attaching with a few short screws or rivets.
 
I used the Flex Seal 4" wide tape to cover a few holes in the vinyl siding around the garage =- the kind typically made when a lawnmower kicks up a rock. It has been on there 2 years and going strong. It took two of is to apply it, though - that stuff is so sticky that it will attach to itself or to you - a second set of hands to hold the roll and for cutting was very helpful.
 
Nice. I've been impressed by how durable the flexseal paint is. I water proofed a window that was leaking and it filled the gaps nicely and after 3 coats that window is sealed like no other. And although no sealer is permanent, it's about what can buy me the most time while I deal with other issues and I think the flexseal stuff is pretty great as it darn well should be for the price!
I've been looking at their other products as well and they make caulking too so might try some of that too. Flexseal might be my new go-to but then again I'll try anything as long as it's not DAP stuff; I hate anything DAP! Their caulk, silicone or latex based, is messy and unworkable when trying to do ultra clean work. And their spray foam just turns to water unless it's used at a perfect outdoor temperature and conditions. I don't have time for prissy products like that. Wiped it off and redid with cheap GreatStuff foam and it was rock hard after 10 minutes in a cold/damp condition lol
