I like a very strong shower. I have old fashion hot and cold faucets and get about 5 gpm . my old delta stopped being good so i went looking . all the shower heads were low flow like 2.5 gpm or less. i went and bought a cheapy one , opened it up and took out the screen. gasket and restrictor, wow now i got a 5 gpm shower head.

My Delta shower head had three separate flow restrictors that needed to be drilled out by the company I purchased it from. Big Brother should keep their noses out of how much flow our showers get!

It's nice to hear that you are upgrading the showerhead to a new advanced model with greater efficiency

I bought a new shower head several years because we needed a wand for my wife's tub baths. After my wife passed I got to looking at that hunk of faux brass plastic coming to the conclusion that not only does it lack the elegance of gold plated brass it doesn't deliver the invigorating pressure that makes for a refreshing shower. So I am happily back to my original Kohler shower head.

A friend has what I suspect is high end hardware in their baths but they wasted their money. It does not come close to resembling oil rubbed brass. Maybe current generations have never seen anything but faux finishes. If I had to choose a modern fixture I would prolly go with matte black. The same with a car I would go for blackout rather than faux chrome.
