leak at the base of a faucet

Can someone direct me to how to fix a leak at the base of the faucet? Thanks.

You'll need to remove/disassemble the faucet, from underneath. I?t's secured with a large nut, for which there are tools designed for. there will also be a hose connection from the select which will need to be disconnected. The offending failed parts can then be replaced, and the faucet reassembled.
 
I think the leak may be because of the faucet, the thread of the faucet may not be well inside the hole. It's better to replace the faucet with the new one may eliminate the water leak

If it's a Moen the swivel spout prolly is removable from topside using a strap wrench so the O-ring can be replaced. There may be instructions available on youtube. Think about it, the handles and spout had to be installed after the assy was mounted to the deck from below.
