    Hello, my Goodman faf stopped heating. I’m getting 24+ Volts at control and vac switch checked ok. What do you think? It’s about 10 years old.

    I bet it does, try it! You won’t hurt anything. There should be a part number on the igniter itself. Norton is usually the brand or make. Also it does not matter the wire configuration.

    The reason the broiler igniter hasn’t failed yet is because it seldom used compared to the oven.

    Does the broiler share this igniter or do you have separate burners for both? If separate and you said the broiler works I’m betting the oven igniter is bad. The igniter could still glow but be weak, the valve needs xxx amount of micro amps to open- try swapping that out, be careful not to break...

    Sound of the transformer probably, get a cheapie stethoscope from harbor freight and probe around, just be careful not to short anything out. Put the end on the housing of the components.

    How are the vacuum hoses going to the inducer switches? If they don’t close I don’t think you will get 24v at the control. Have you pulled them off to check for any cracks?

    15v is an odd number? Xformers are usually 120/24v? Seems like a weird number to me..

    I don’t think it’s a bad board, gas control. Maybe try checking for bad/loose connections.     That was my original plan but wanted expertise on this. I still have a bit of work to do before I get to this, more sheet rock to remove, moving stuff around to minimize the mess, lol.

    I’m getting my garage back, it was once a bedroom. I have removed the wall and some of the sheet rock with plans to add more outlets, insulation and new sheet rock. I’m wanting to swap out the 2x4 rafter ties for maybe 2x6(?) for strength. Not sure if it’s needed but want to add some plywood...
