    When to replace a fridge?

From what I am seeing, not having one is why it is lasting so long.

    When to replace a fridge?

We have a 2005 Kenmore fridge. We are noticing some noise from when the compressor shuts down. It still keeps things cool/cold. Our plan would be to sell it to a family member that wants one like it and get a new one. So, how long do these fridges tend to last. The one we have is the one with...

How sketchy would doing this be?

The current part of the full basement is about 7 feet floor to ceiling. It has a concrete floor. The crawlspace is about 4 feet high at the highest part, and about 2 feet over the rock. My plan would be to dig out the loose stuff and then hire a company to come and break up the rocks and...

How sketchy would doing this be?

On a scale of 1-10, where 10 is very sketchy and 1 is not at all sketchy, how sketchy would this be to do: I have a house built on shale rock. Part of it is a full basement, part of it is rock. There is also part of it that is gravel on top of the rock. What I want to do is to dig out all that...

    Floating post

As far as I know, this is the first time the post moved. It may be a seasonally thing. It may be a one time thing. It also may have been like this since we moved in 2 years ago.

    Floating post

I'll probably get an engineer in to look at it eventually. I just found it odd that it moved.

The wood post is original. It is the same wood as the beam.

    Floating post

In the basement one of my posts moves. It is a 6x6 timber post. Within 4 feet of it is a steel post on the same beam. This wood post is at the end of the beam, roughly middle of the house. The fact that it is loose worries me, but also makes me wonder if it is actually needed.

Chain keeps coming off the chainsaw

OP here with an update. The bar is fine, but had some sawdust in the groove. The chain was missing a few rakes too. Cleaned the bar, and switched out the chain and ran good.

Chain keeps coming off the chainsaw

Visually, the tensioner was at the same location as when I had it off to put the chain back on the last time. It isn't the issue.

Chain keeps coming off the chainsaw

Not yet. Taking the cover off the area where the chain goes to the engine, it is actually quite clean.

Chain keeps coming off the chainsaw

I'll check the bar first and it if is good, that is my next step.

Chain keeps coming off the chainsaw

It has been on it for over a year, and I am now having issues. Within a half hour of running, it comes off. Generally I would check it every time I use it, every time I fuel it up, or every time it is sharpened.
