    What did you do today?

    I'm long-term borrowing my neighbor's miter saw.

    What did you do today?

I'm about to start a new project, redoing one of the kids' closets. For this project I need to figure out the best way to divide up four 2x4s into the various lengths I need (all between about 25" and 18"). What's the best way to do that?

Reclaimed Wood - Your Opinion Of Our Project Please!

I've been in a few "rustic" themed restaurants with floors that looked like that...usually half-hidden under peanut shells. It's a great look, but you have to go all in for it: deer antlers, kerosene lamps, the whole nine yards.

    Dead raccoon under porch

Turns out it's just "moldy poo". Removing it is a lot more work than ignoring it, so...

    Can't log in Firefox v74.0 (64-bit)

(As long as we're piling on) I didn't know people in Tennessee wore sleeves.

    Dead raccoon under porch

No. All the boards go all the way across and then around the edges there are other boards going across them...plus if I only took out one or two boards they might not be directly over the critter. My wife told me yesterday she's called a pest control guy, so I guess it's in his hands now...

    Dead raccoon under porch

Wood. I guess it's really a deck, only it's covered and screened in.

    Can't log in Firefox v74.0 (64-bit)

Was able to log in from Firefox (using macOS Catalina). Stays logged in, too. Thanks for your hard work whoever you are!

    Dead raccoon under porch

None really. Not unless you count the 8" hole the raccoon dug out.

Reporting that i was able to log in (and post this) using the DuckDuckGo browser on an Android.

    Dead raccoon under porch

We're pretty sure the raccoon that was living under our back porch died. Today was one of the first days where it was nice to be outside and we noticed a smell that seems more like dead animal than droppings. (Besides, there was never any smell at all before.) If we're right, what's the best way...

    Can't log in Firefox v74.0 (64-bit)

I can't log in from Firefox, which is my default and preferred browser. I can, however, log in from Chrome or Safari (currently logged in via Safari), which is how I've posted this comment. I haven't tried Edge. BTW, there's an issue in Safari, at least, where if I try to highlight something...

    What did you do today?

Painted, surfaces are attached with liquid nails, popped into the office and grabbed one of my monitors. Now I'm working from home like a big boy.

    What did you do today?

Got the frame built and took the desk in for a test drive. It's perfect. If it was just me I'd call it done but my wife wants it painted, so painted it shall be. By the way, the surfaces that my laptop and keyboard are sitting on are MDF with what I assume is a thin vinyl covering. Right now...

    What did you do today?

Almost everyone at my job has been instructed to work from home until further notice. Since my "home office" is actually a plank of plywood laying across the laundry room sink, I decided a more permanent arrangement was in order. My wife and I agreed on a suitable corner of the living room (I...

Trickle of water from tank into bowl

Fixed it. It was the gasket on the tank side of the flush valve.

Trickle of water from tank into bowl

@Jeff Handy the new dual flush system doesn't have a flapper. Check out the link in the original post. It's a system that uses a gasket. And no, the gasket isn't deformed, it's seated exactly to spec. But yeah, someone else (outside this forum) also suggested I get a new flapper and test it...

Trickle of water from tank into bowl

I set the fill valve level with the top of the tank as directed, and this also allowed the fill line to come up to about 1/2" below the overflow pipe, also as directed. If I set it any lower then there isn't enough water for the blue float in the flush tower to float at 1/2" below the full water...
