    AC Evaporator Coil Question

Hello there everyone! I am an avid DIYer, and while I am able to do most things, there is something that is baffling me that I cannot seem to figure out. I have been looking at installing a central air unit ontop of my furnace, that was replaced brand new about 7 years ago (just before I moved...

    Double wide door finishing

The walls on both sides are level. The problem is just that the thickness isn't the same thickness as the gap it needs to fill. Ontop of that, an additional layer goes ontop of these boards that contain the hinge mortices on one side and the door latch on the other. The entire setup is confusing...

    Double wide door finishing

Here are the pictures. The framing, the trim board, and a piece up against one of the openings where you can clearly see the difference in widths.

    Double wide door finishing

The drywall came already installed to the wall. We can't add padding to it. Unless you meant ontop of it. Some of the cuts would leave shims in some areas and up to almost an inch in other spots. The sizes are very inconsistent even vertically on a single frame. This whole thing seems like a...

    Double wide door finishing

Exactly this. The boards don't come attached, they are laying in the middle of the living room when it comes. The instructions say that you are supposed to attach them yourself, however the problem in lies that the widths aren't consistent, and the scribed/trimmed side of the board exposes the...

    Double wide door finishing

The doors are hollow core 6 panel doors. The particle board (wrapped in laminate) is the door jamb that attaches to the framing. The drywall isn't off. All that there is to finish is the door jambs and then mount the door, but the door jambs are the ones that are 8" wide and the drywall surfaces...

    Double wide door finishing

No they are swinging doors. The two halves are the marriage line where the two halves of the double wide come together at. The average measurement is 8" wide but some areas it's less. This photo is a single door frame of the two we need to finish.

    Double wide door finishing

As soon as I can get some I will. Posted this while not on the job site. Since it'll be a few hours at least until I can get back there, I made a "schematic" in mspaint. This is set if you were standing on the roof, looking directly down at the floor where the doorway is. The left and right...

    Double wide door finishing

My parents just got a double wide set and opted out of the rest of the finish work as there was only a bit and we wanted to tackle it ourselves. The drywall we knocked out easy as pie. What's left is trimming out the two doors at the marriage line. They are deeper than normal, and came with...

    Shed on Concrete Driveway

I don't have a riding mower, as my yard isn't big enough for it. Right now, all I store in my shed is three bikes, a small push mower, and a weed wacker. I am not sure on the dimensions of the shed right now, but it's a really old aluminum built shed. It's pretty cramped right now, but it's...

    Shed on Concrete Driveway

Thanks! I was just thinking, a 6x12 shed is pretty big anyway so I will probably make it smaller. Maybe a 4x6 shed, or 4x8. (Not much smaller, but a nice even dimensional size)

    Shed on Concrete Driveway

If I did that, I would think I would need at least the last 3 feet or so before the shed begins to make a 'ramp' up to the increased height, otherwords I would be lifting things up into the shed. I think that will be okay (the ramp, not lifting things up). I will have a gradual downhill slope...

    Shed on Concrete Driveway

Hello there. I am getting ready to plan for redoing my driveway, as it's in desperate need of repour. I am wanting to draw out the plans for the layout, but had a couple of questions. My driveway is about 6 feet wide, and about 75 feet long to the front sidewalk. I want my driveway to extend...

    Cabinet Installation

Awesome video nealt, but mines not frameless. It has a box, it's just 18" instead of 24" deep. I can attach it on one side, however the other side doesn't have a cabinet to attach to it.

    Cabinet Installation

I managed to get them installed last night, except for the lazy Susan as I don't know how to install it since it's free floating on the stove side.

    Cabinet Installation

I am remodeling my kitchen, and with it is new cabinets. I am able to install the uppers easily because there is a corner cabinet and a row on both sides that will make the width the same, however the lowers is another story. I have a Lazy Susan that isnt 24" deep on either side, and also...

    Tying into existing ductwork

Thank you for the information. As I read this post last night, I was walking into the local home improvement store to look for the correct cleats. As I went down the aisle i found the oval ducting and picked that up instead. It seems to work a lot better, and yes, the original pipe was 7", and...

    Tying into existing ductwork

Hello guys, some assistance please. In a previous thread I stated that I was redoing my kitchen. One of the things I am doing, is relocating my heat duct in the room. It was originally one of the older grate style in wall/floor grate systems, but I am replacing it with newer duct work. I was...

    Ethernet hookup in kitchen

I would do that, but it's going into a patch panel in the server room and will be connected, so I don't want to leave the other end unterminated. I suppose though that I could just not use that port on the patch panel.

Replacing old vent stack.. need help.

I had my friend come over this weekend and run the new line, and he was able to get it moved back into the wall where I need it to be. I am not sure what you are referring to as far as a 'dead spider', but there were spider webs all over it. Didn't see any spiders. There was also the skeletal...
