Ready to pull my hair out over

You also might want to post a closer picture of the carriers on both sides of the window. My guess is that the pin on the bottom of the sash is installed correctly on the left side, but came out of the right side. If that is true, look at how the pin and carrier work on the left side, which...

Ready to pull my hair out over

Hard to tell from the picture, but, in that last picture, it looks like the pin on the sash is not in the "carrier". It looks like a white plastic "C". The opening of that "C" should be pointing up, so that you can drop the pin in the bottom of the sash into that opening. You will have to...

    Sealing bottom exterior wall

I would use self leveling CAULK there, not cement.

Ready to pull my hair out over

My guess is that you window is only attached to one of the spring loaded carriers. I would suggest tilting and removing the sash from the frame. Look in the tracks on each side for the spring loaded carriers. One of them might be stuck, or it may have slipped and retracted upwards. This is...

    Patio Door Wheels

Sorry for the short answer previously, I was driving. They are local to me (suburban Philadelphia) but they are invaluable for any type of door and window hardware.

    Pulling from three way switch

Correct me if I am wrong, but even if the incoming power goes first to the fixture box, there would still have to be an always hot at one of the switch locations, wouldn't there?

    Pulling from three way switch

Why do you say that testing between the hot and the ground will not identify the always hot wire? I would prefer that he test between the hot and the ground rather than trying to get a probe inside the wire nut connecting the neutrals.

    Pulling from three way switch

Sorry, but that is not possible with two three-way switches. What are you using to test? Again, you need to test the wire connected to the COMMON screw and the bare on each switch with both switches off. Just because a 3way is in the down position does not mean that it is off. If testing that...

    Pulling from three way switch

As Snooby said you need to determine 8f there is an "always hot" feed in that Junction box. With 3way switches, there is a "Master" switch and a "Slave" switch. Power comes into the master switch (the always hot wire) and power is fed from the master switch to the slave switch via the...

    Siding

I would call him back and point out the problemsame before giving him another penny. If he is unwilling to fix them properly, call a home inspector to document the problems. If he tries to put a lein on the house, you have a neutral 3rd party pros opinion. Get it fixed before you get other damage.

    Siding

Not an expert by any means, but I do know that, on the top of a window, the bottom of the J channel should be cut long, so that it bends down outside of the vertical J channel. That directs water across and out. The way yours is cut, the water will run between the vertical J channel and the window.

Refrigerator Water Dispenser Has Very Slow Flow

Just FYI... you may have to look at your owners manual to find where the filter is located. Sometimes they are in the refrigerator compartment, and sometimes they are below the refrigerator. You can search for your model number on the internet, or go to repairclinic.com and enter your model...

    Folding Closet Door Repair

I would suggest filling the hole with something like Bondo, letting it set, and then drilling a new hole for the pivot.

    Help Frigidaire fphb2899lfb won't start.

Since no one has responded yet. I thought I would try. Please understand that I am not an expert, by any means. I would first unplug the refrigerator, and, just as a test, "jump" the broken wire(s). That means stripping the insulation from the broken ends of the existing wire. Then, get a short...

Retractable awning- motor only works in one direction

Not an expert, but it sounds to me like a wire came loose from the motor. If the switch is hard wIred (not remote control), the loose or broken wire might be at the switch.

Need pro advice here! Bubbles! Why!

Just a guess, but were you washing towels that may have had some dishwasher detergent on them like Dawn? How about towels that may have been used to wash a car?

    disconnecting hard wired dishwasher

Tom My original recommendation to the OP was to cap the incoming wires and leave them in the metal box that is part of the dishwasher. This saves the OP from having to remove the dishwasher from the opening. As far as where the receptacle for the dishwasher is to be located, I recently had an...

    disconnecting hard wired dishwasher

Tom Horne Please explain why capping the incoming supply wires and leaving them in the box is "not code compliant" Furthermore, it is my understanding from the code that the GFCI receptacle you described is to be located inside a nearby cabinet, rather than behind the dishwasher. It has to be...
