Planting fruits & vegetables in COVID-19 times

Bud, funny you mention rhubarb, it reminds me of my grandma Eva. She use to make me rhubarb pie for my birthday every year. That's one pie that's hard to find and if you do find it, it's never as good as grandma use to make. Thanks for the memory.

    T1-11 siding and wooden deck

Yes, cut the bad out of the bottom, install a Z flashing, then install your trim of choice. I prefer PVC trim. It won't rot in direct contact with moisture. The flashing is available at most big box stores where they sell roofing supplies.

    Light switch problem

:welcome: to House Repair Talk! Have you removed the switch cover to see if there's a loose wire or some evidence of arching? Did the sound come from the switch or fixture? Did you happen to smell anything from the switch?

    Stubborn Brush Strokes

I just painted some vanity doors and base frame using a 4" foam roller and semigloss paint. It layed down smooth and looks like it was spray painted. You might look at using a roller pad.

    What did you do today?

I sent him a private message several weeks ago and he hasn't replied back. I would guess we pissed him off trying to arm chair quarterback his wife's condition. I'm sure his doctors had a better handle of what's going on with her than the opinions thrown at him here. Sometimes well meaning...

    Bath Remodel

Installed the counter top and painted the walls yesterday. Today I'll do a second coat on the walls. I didn't remove drywall, just paint, drains run good and easy access if it's needed in the future.

What is acceptable time for post checking?

No, always wanted to stain everything, but never made it to the top of the priority list.

What is acceptable time for post checking?

I have posts that are 8' tall under my deck that look like yours, been that way for near 25 years. I've already replaced the decking, but the framing is still in great shape.

    Bath Remodel

Well, Corona boredom has overtaken me and I started doing a light freshen up of our master bath. Previous owner thought in their infinite wisdom to wall paper the bath walls. I always hated it, but not enough to do something about it. So, thank you Wuhan for inspiring me to get busy. Yesterday I...
