    What did you do today?

I found a purebred Carolina Dog, it's younger than I was seeking but there's no question regarding its breeding. The thing I like about them is they are essentially the original NA wild dog without man's effort to breed for configuration. Now I just have to make up my mind and drive about 3...

    What did you do today?

Electric may prove to be less expensive in the long haul depending on battery life. I read one review that said this: Less expensive to operate. My 42 inch, 24 HP Zero-turn uses about 2 gallons of fuel or $5.50 to mow my lawn. An electric riding mower will use about 75 cents in electricity...

Looking for non-intrusive power strip for floor outlet

Another thought, if the outlets are only used for lamps and electronics power cubes and short extension cords might be better than a 15 amp power strip.

    Concrete/cement ratios

My last project was a wolf dog kennel in the woods behind my house. Access was by a footpath that meandered. It wasn't easy to get sand and bricks to it even with a single wheeled barrow. Building (or even yard work) in the mountains is a whole 'nother thing compared to flatland construction. I...

    Concrete/cement ratios

That's a noble goal. The guy I bought my property from was a builder and he said he spent his time on the worksite trying to keep it clean so the workers didn't have to stop and move stuff out of their way.

    Concrete/cement ratios

I guess we can keep this one going, I have never seen a construction area clear of debris, especially if gravel is involved. I use mine around the yard and in unlevel wooded areas so I choose according to the terrain.

    Kitchen Cabinet repainting

That's why is suspect the rest of the doors have notch hinges or at least the notches. I kinda like the current finish, they appear to be quality cabinets.

    Kitchen Cabinet repainting

If one pays attention to such minor details the door in question also has notches and notch hinges are still available for ⅜" partial inset doors. I wonder what the rest of the doors have? I suspect notch, if so it would make for an easy fix.

Looking for non-intrusive power strip for floor outlet

You can find power strips with 3 ft (or 6 ft) cords and right angle plugs. Some even have rotating right angle plugs.

    Concrete/cement ratios

YMMV but a single wheel turns on a dime (sometimes when you don't want it to). With two wheels one has to have a wider area clear of debris to pivot. I have both single and two wheel barrows and usually use two wheels for heavy loads and a clear path.

    Kitchen Cabinet repainting

Those look like my hinges which are made to fit a ⅜" offset door and changing out may be a big deal. They are not that noticeable though.

    Concrete/cement ratios

A two wheeled wheelbarrow has more stability but is harder to turn as it will not pivot.

    Concrete/cement ratios

When I built my house I used crusher run stone under my slab and to gravel my drive. I found a concrete recipe at the time using crusher run as the aggregate. I forget how many shovels of crusher run per shovel of cement powder was used. I used it to make a pad for my well tank and to anchor my...

Can I not do a pocket joint with this Kreg?

I guess we lost the OP? That seems to happen often on these threads so we never know if the problem was solved. Whatever the solution is it may help others and does interest those of us who attempt to help.

    Quick connect hose fittings

Having worked with air hoses I know what you mean. That would be neat but I have never seen it for water hoses. I used a quick disconnect with a ball valve on the hydrant at my dog kennel so I could turn off/on w/o pulling the hydrant handle while cleaning the kennel. Also handy for taking...

    What did you do today?

I could probably make one work but I hate to purchase a new grill and have to modify it. I may experiment on my Ducane rather than buying small. If I could make it quicker heating it would be more economical.

    What did you do today?

No, I've seen it on larger grills in lieu of briquettes. If I end up reworking my Ducane I might try raising the burner and adding the cast iron. My first gas grill had cast iron burners, I wish I had kept the burners when I scrapped the grill.

    What did you do today?

Did some research on tabletop gas grills and couldn't find any that don't use the metal tents over the burner. I have yet to find a grill with tents that gets the tent hot enough to do a proper sear. I had hoped to get rid of my Ducane as I am only grilling one steak or two burgers.

    Concrete/cement ratios

You won't be must faster using a 5 gallon bucket! I wasn't trying to be smart, the contractor that built my chimney shoveled it into a concrete mixer.
