    I think you might like the crepe myrtle. Not sure if I'm spelling the name right. They have a variety of bloom colors and there's also a dwarf version that doesn't get very tall, though most of the crepe myrtles I've seen aren't very big.

    I read your post to mikeb about the striping. I'm wondering if that would work well in a dining room? My wife and I have discussed giving the dining room a face-lift, but we don't want the same old ho-hum paint. We're looking for something more. Thanks for your help.

    What style is your house?

    I guess I never gave much consideration to how many different style homes there were until my wife and I start shopping for a house. I thought it would be interesting to see what style homes everyone owns. Ours is a Cape Cod.
