Converting a light to a ceiling outlet?

That is my intention...I was more concerned with the wiring aspect. I assume it would be pretty straight forward, as long as the fact that it is controlled by 2 three way switches doesn't throw me a curve ball.

Converting a light to a ceiling outlet?

Hi, I am converting an office/den to a hobby room. Currently, there is a drop chandelier(sp??) controlled by two 3-way switches. I would like to convert that light box to a two plug outlet. It is fine that it is controlled by the two switches, as I plan on installing a shop light in the...

    Light Switch Replacement Question

OK, THank you for all of your replies. The red wire that is one on post with another black wire actually goes to the other switch next to it. The other switch has a black wire going to it, and this red wire which goes to the switch next to it. That switch has two wires going into it, both...

    Hissing Water Heater

OK, just an update if anyone is interested. The pressure relief valve was shot. The hot water heater sounded very bad and was loud. So, my wife and I agreed to purchase a new one. I removed the old unit, and noticed that the pressure relief valve was removed from the side and placed on top of...

    Hissing Water Heater

OK, I drained it, flushed it...a bunch of stuff came out of there...so I was hopeful. I fired her up and the popcorn popping sound...well, it sounded more loose, if that makes any sense. But the hissing came back. I dont have internet at my house, so I am printing those articles out redwood. Thanks.

    Hissing Water Heater

well, I figured out what the hissing is...it has to be the pressure relief valve. I was out side on the telephone and I saw hot water coming out of a copper pipe on the side of my house. I went inside and sure enough, the water heater was hissing, and that has to be the pressure relief valve. I...

    New home owner

I feel we got a very good deal. The home is 3k sqft and is in a great neighborhood. It is at the top of our price range, but, the market being as it is...we couldn't pass it up. If the market ever turns around, we are sitting pretty. Also, the home appraised at $15k more than we purchased it...

    Hissing Water Heater

Thanks for the information. I will try and drain it out. I hope it works. I will have the 'wire hanger' option on my side as well. The house used to be occupied by an older woman, who probably didnt need 3k sqft and 2 water heaters...so, sadly this 11 year old water heater probably never had...

    Hissing Water Heater

Hi everyone, we just moved into our home...1st time home buyers. I have used this forum, browsing, for a few months...when I rented an old farm house. Never registered. I appreciate all the help then, but now it really counts. Our home was custom built in 1960 and needs some updating. I hope...
