    That sounds like a piggyback setup. Just plug in the plug for the pump, but it will not turn off with out unplugging it.

    The traps are installed when the sinks are installed. But they will be S traps because where the waste enters the vent it will be below the trap seal creating a S trap.

    By using a long turn DBL TY you have created two full S traps.

    Foam will not hold down the flange. It needs to be screwed down to the floor.

    What he has below is a cast iron trap. And that is a piece of lead pipe attached to the bushing.

    Remove the top one the lower one is a bushing. Can't tell from the picture but that may be lead pipe above the bushing.

    The corner brace is what I was looking at. Hard to tell from the picture but if it's flat it's a steel tub but if it's round it's cast iron.

    That is not a steel tub it's cast iron. It could weight as much as 180#.

    There not called split front there called open front and the round ones are called closed front.

    Use a heat gun or hair dryer to soften the calking. Makes the job go much easer. As far as cutting the granite in place that will make a mess.

    If you raise the height of the flooring you better plain on raising the baseboard heating. Baseboard heat depends on convection as well as radiation to prudence heat. With the space below the baseboard closed off you will lose the convection thus reducing the heat output.

    The rough of a toilet is measured from the back wall to the center of the pipe not from the side wall.
