    Hot rods, and classics.

I build and maintain all my own stuff. I find that is the fun part. If you build it yourself, it brings on a different sense of pride, over buying one. Driving them ain't bad either.

    3 Phase Generator

This maybe a little late, but yes you can get just 220v single phase out of a three phase generator. You will only use two of the three leads coming off the power end. Travis

    Parking gate

If room is a problem, the gate could be made to pivot on the bottom corner. You can use a few of those shocks that are on the rear lift gate of a suv or small car trunk. Instead of a rolling or sliding gate, if it lifted from one side or the other, it would save room, and make it look kinda...

Running a gas line to the garage

I ran gas to my shop, and used 1" steel black pipe. Some states will allow pvc, but it is not a good idea, and can be dangerous. It's not that hard to do.

    Abrasives

I do. I like them both. The flapper will put a mirror shine on just about anything. Using the for a grinder wheel, they don't do as well as a grinder disk. It all depends on what you are going to use them for. They both have there place. Cut off wheels, I buy them by the pound...lol Travis

currently, there is a dirt floor

It's not to hard. Just rip out all the old floor, level the new dirt floor with sand put up form boards(4" or 6")and dig some beams where the most weight will be and around the walls. Depending on what will be in the shop will determine the size of the beams. Lay 3/8" or 1/2" re-bar on a 1' grid...

    Travel Tubes?

Not sure why anybody would do that. Unless they wanted to hide something or somebody. Other than running pipes or wires like stated above, I cant see any reason to do that. Trying to keep ground water out is going to be another thing all together. Just my thoughts. Travis

    COmputer in the garage?

Being from Tx, I cant say anything about that cold temp. That's just to cold to talk about. lol  The heat is another thing. The computers fan will run all summer, if you leave it on. I don't leave mine on in my shop, except when I am in there. Other than that I haven't found it to...
