    External ethernet wiring in condo

Background I live in a two-story condo that doesn't have ethernet wiring. My goal is to retrofit and get wires to as many locations as possible. After self-inspection and consulting with contractors and electricians, I have concluded that dropping wires from the attic to every room isn't an...

    Is this safe?

Thanks billshack & Jeff. Its fair to conclude that the risk outweighs reward in this case. I am going to move the foam out.

    Is this safe?

Oh interesting, @billshack what do you mean by foam getting blown to the unit and starting a fire? Getting blown close due to a strong draft like Jeff said? What would trigger a fire?

    Is this safe?

Jeff, thats a good idea. Thanks for the tip. I do have some space on the other end of the attic. It's filled with insulation, which looks like cotton (the house was built in 1992). If I put the styrofoam on top of that insulation, I get further away from the furnace, but I wonder if I am...

I realize I am using the word 'safe' loosely. Honestly, I am a noob and can't depict all hazards when things...

    Hanging swing in patio

Sold on the idea of using a chain and carabiners. Do I need to pick chain just based on the weight or some other criteria along with weight?

    Hanging swing in patio

Thanks for your reply. I am wondering if swing will be wobbly if wire/rope is not thick enough? Especially because of the height -- it will be at least 6-7 Ft of wire/ rope between the slab and seat. What can I do to make sure it doesn't wobble or twist.

    Hanging swing in patio
