All sounds good. I'll get at it. I picked up some supplies. Thumbs up or down on this caulk? It doesn't say "nonsanded" but specifically says it's meant for changes in plane and expansion joints.

Should I chip away at the remnants of the grout before I seal the gap, or should I just seal over it?
