Drip Edge for Torch Down vs Hot Mop

I appreciate the reply. Based on my observation the torch down isn't significantly higher than the lip on the drip edge, I assume the hot mop was removed. Does that help ?

Drip Edge for Torch Down vs Hot Mop

I am being told the reason the existing torch down (about 10 years old now) is starting to lift from the drip edge is because the existing drip edge is for hot mop applications. Apparently when the original hot mop roof was replaced with torch down, the original edging was left in place. 1. Is...

    Kitchen Porcelain Sink Sealer

Are there any products a homeowner can use to 'seal' the porcelain of a kitchen sink ? This sink is an under-the-counter sink. The left basin (Garbage Disposal side) of this kitchen sink is picking up food stains easily. We found they can be removed using diluted bleach or scrubbing with some...

Masonry Drill Bits - Application and Lifespan

I appreciate the information on the masonry bits. For clearing out the cane bolt hole, I used a length of 1/4" vinyl Drip Line tubing. I found it worked great and can be stored with the masonry bit for future use.

Masonry Drill Bits - Application and Lifespan

OK, I have learned a lot about CMU block walls thanks to Snoonyb. Going back to my questions for masonry drill bits; 1. Is the basic carbide tipped bits a suitable and decent choice for drilling a limited number of holes ? 2. Should I be adding water in the hole to lubricate the drill tip or...

Masonry Drill Bits - Application and Lifespan

I expect there is a wide quality range for masonry drill bits. Some brands are listed as carbide, others as carbide tipped, some as carbide hammer bits. As a homeowner - and not a tradesmen, I will be drilling four or six holes into CMU blocks (probably cement filled when the block wall was...

LG WT7300CW How To Remove Top Cover

Need to release top cover of my LG WT7300CW Top Load Washing machine so I can clean the hinges holding the Lid in place. Why, after the unit has sat for a while, when opening the Lid there is an obnoxious pop or snap sound. I expect there is something binding in one of the lid's hinges. Need to...

    Mail Slot for Stucco Wall

Need to replace the Mail Slot Cover present on a stucco wall. The original mail slot is narrower than any of the new stuff I am finding. What method for cutting the stucco to make the slot wider ? I appreciate all suggestions, recommendations, and feedback.

    Using SDR-35 for Patio Drains

Preparing to have a patio/sundeck put in using pavers. The house will have three rain gutter downspouts that would empty onto the pavers. Therefore, I want to place some 3" id SDR-35 pipe below the downspouts to collect the water and run it out to the curb. The most interior down spout...

    Shower Door Hinge Adjustments

I was thinking vinegar. This sounds better than what I was thinking. The CLR will address calcium, lime and rust (the triad of fixtures & plumbing). Thanks again.

    Shower Door Hinge Adjustments

Snoonyb, I appreciate the response. I will insert some door shims under the glass and check this out. Also, One of the hinges makes a 'pop' or 'snap' sound as I open the door. I assume this is hard water deposits on the pivot pin or on the bores for the pivot pin that needs cleaning ?

    Shower Door Hinge Adjustments

The vinyl sweep across the bottom of door is separating from it's vinyl mounting channel after about six months time. Replaced the sweep twice in the last year and the last one is starting to fail. Is it possible the shower door or hinges have settled downward over last 3-4 years ? (The hinges...

    Using Concrete Bonding Adhesives

I appreciate the quick response. As this is my first work with stucco, are you indicating I should use the CBA in place of water ? Please advise.

    Using Concrete Bonding Adhesives

Maybe I am over-thinking this. This is my first work with stucco. I want to repair the stucco that exist over the brick chimney. The area of concern (estimated to be 48" wide x 4" high x 1-2" deep) is just above the foundation base for the chimney. I plan to brush on a coat of Concrete...
