    Cleaning your outside unit

Just a little tip for those that might not know this: When you're outside watering your garden/flowers/yard, make sure you use the pressure nozzle and clean your AC unit out there too! They build up gunk and dirt, which decreases air flow and causes the unit to run less efficiently. Wash it off...

    Cleaning the chimney

There are kits you can get that are pretty inexpensive. Since you don't burn "real" wood, you'd think your chimney would be cleaner, but that's not necessarily the case. It's kinda like your stove: needs to get hot and stay hot to burn off the creosote and other materials that the burning fuel...

    Natural pond

Another natural predator is the mosquito fish. BUT...don't introduce any type of predator to your pond if it's connected to any other waterway-creek or stream flowing from it? You don't want to indtroduce a non-indegenous predator in your environment, right? Also, don't overfeed the fish. If...

    Dirty grout

Like I posted on another thread, try a product called Zap. No, I'm not a reseller or anything. Just that I've used it and it really works well. It's supposed to not smell or have a 'fresh smell' well, don't believe that. It does kinda have a strong odor, so use it with ventilation, especially in...

    Stained sink

There's a product called Zap that's really great for this! You spray it on, let it sit a few minutes then scrub a little, rinse it off. It's kinda pricey, but well worth it.

    Just removed spring weeds

One flower you might want to try is the lovely Vinca. It's an annual, gets about 12-18 inches high and comes in white, shades of pink and red. It's very easy to grow, very tolerant plant. You can toss these in amongst your daylillies to add green and TONS of blooms while your daylillies take...

    Need a new dishwasher

My Whirlpool dishwasher is starting to be more trouble that it's worth and I need to replace it. I've had it repaired several times. Guess it's time to let it go :P Any suggestions on what to get? I don't need a large capacity, but I DO want one that's quiet-this old one is so loud I can't hear...

Anyone else hate the planned communities?

Not only do they all have the same look, but they rule and regulate you to death. I was at my sister-in-law's house (she lives in one of these) and I saw some guy outside with a yardstick. I laughed and said, "what's he doing-measuring the grass?", cause that's what it looked like. She replied...

How much does an acre cost in your area?

Up in northern Minnesota, you can often find land for about 1k an acre. Sometimes less. Don't buy it in the winter though-you never know how much of it is swampland!
