    panasonic cordless

I recently aquired a brand new panasonic ironman 9.6v off-set drill / driver. What an amazing find, I've never seen anything like it. It's awesome. Anyway, I was just curious about it so I searched the web and I cannot find anything, it's like it never existed. If anyone knows or can find...

    Floating Shelf

AHEM, tom raises many great points, as usual. However, if your dream is to support 80 pounds max, I wouldn't worry too much. If you hit two studs with two screws each, you'll have four fasteners. Divide your total load by the four fasteners, and you're looking at a shear load of 20 lbs per...

    Floating Shelf

ok, i went back and actually read the posts and viewed the pics. Mount a "nailer" to the wall (via studs) and set yer boxes over it. Basically, forget about mounting the cab. focus on mounting a nailer (2x4 if you will) and then mount your cabinet to that piece. It's much easier to mount the...

    Floating Shelf

I believe this is what we call a sleeve. Mount a "nailer" to some studs and mount it damn good. Design a shelf to slip over the nailer and tack it in. cheers.

Is this expectable in the trade?

I read all of the posts, but I don't recall seeing the ctop material. Anyway describe "warped". If indeed it is twisted or even out of level, it's not to industry standard. On top of the bbb, find out the manufacturer of the ctop material (plastic laminate or solid surface) and call them as...

    Custom Cabinet business taking questions

where to begin bob60? I don't know why your oak cabs would have pine shelves to begin with??? To answer your q,,, no. I wouldn't "coat" your existing cabs with anything, unless you know what the original finish is. Don't worry about "run-off" unless you have a plumbing issue, fix the...

    Custom Cabinet business taking questions

remodelinmo you'd have to better describe "warping". wood usually bows, cups, or twists. if you cupped, check the grain, if you twisted, check the grain. One way to abolish this is to rough mill you lumber and separate it on stickers so it can grow to the climate. "warm" weather doesn't...
