what about caulking the toilet to the floor?:thbup:

When you seal the WC to the floor with caulking, and do not leave gaps, if and when the wax ring fails the telltale seeping around the base of WC, often the first indication that the wax ring has failed, is absent, and the subsequent damage is and has been a topic of several threds.

And exactly why the WC is set on a raised platform when the entire floor is the shower pan, because it is not sealed.
 
caulking will not work, it is a band-aid fix at best
there is no fitting on the market to seal the closet flange to the floor membrane
a toilet either sits on a curb above the shower floor or it will leak.

a handicap toilet is 2'' taller than a regular toilet,
use a regular toilet on a 2'' curb. it will be of HC height and code legal'
 
I guess, adding a shower is possible here granted that you make the entire bathroom remodeling. There are so many projects available nowadays that you can fit the shower into bathroom of any size. Have a look at them and discuss the issue with a trusted remodeling expert.
