Ants near deck in backyard ... ...

Hi everyone

I recently noticed that when I pull up the earth near the deck, I see ants. Are ants going to do anything harm to the house? Should I get rid of them?

I haven't seen ants in the house.

If I should be concerned, what are some effective ways to get rid of the ants?

Not sure where you live. In some areas, carpenter ants are very destructive. In other areas, ants are a nuisance but not destructive.

You can call a pest control company for a quick review on the phone. They might hard sell you if you ask them to visit the house. Be considerate of their time . . .
