My question before about adding a dimmer to a 4-way configuration was helpful. As it turns out, I miscounted the switch locations and there are only three.
Anyway, I finally got around to playing with switches again today, and was able to determine that the most-used location was a three-way switch. Yay! (There was a UPC bar code on the switch and I googled it.)
I put the 3-way dimmer on and initially it didn't work. I figured I got Common wrong and swapped it with another wire and it worked perfectly. Except now the other two locations I have not touched yet don't work. I should say they work by not allowing the dimmer work if flipped, but they don't turn on the light.
What have I got wrong?
