Hi all,

We are planning to remodel our main bathroom. We are shopping for an alcove tub. We thought Kohler right away. But, I've been hearing a brand called Kingston Brass that might be worth considering. Any thoughts/experience with this brand? Our budget is $500 to $1100. Willing to spend more if it's truly worth it. What factors should be considered in terms of features and quality? Or any other suggestions? THANKS!

Is this going to be a shower as well? What is the norm for your neighborhood and price point? A fiberglass tub and shower surround might be OK in some neighborhoods but at my price point tile is expected. You say it is in a alcove, so three sides of the tub are going to be up against walls and not a free standing tub? If you go with a composite or fiberglass tub be sure to embed the bottom in mortar to give it support.
