Bench top planer

Anyone have a recommendation for a good bench top planer? My daughter is getting one for my son in law for Christmas and asked what I thought. Looking around the dewalt dw735x looks like a nice choice but I thought I'd ask some opinions.

That's a nice one.
What I did long ago with all my bench mount tools. was to mount them on a piece of Advantech, add a 2 X 2 cleat in the middle.
That way I could take them outside and set them on my B & D workmate so there was less mess inside.
A planner makes real mess when using it.
