Rats and mice can be such a pain. Mice chewed through my plywood panel walls. The rats are mostly outside except when the cats catch them and bring their corpses inside. Although, currently only 6 of my 12 cats will go outside. Peppermint oil, steel wool, metal mesh screen-- the sturdier kind. I need to find the stuff I bought awhile back for the pantry. Reminds me that I need to patch more holes in the pantry and pretty much stucco/plaster the walls in there. Hopefully you'll get rid of Master Splinter soon.
