Hello,

First post here. In my house there are two closet doors I had removed and they were sliding doors (in an 48"opening). I now bought 2 sets of 24" bifold doors and the top pivot bracket is for a rail 5/8"wide, and it is too small for a 1 3/16" opening (the rail that came with the sliding doors) - see picture.

I was going to remove the original 48"rail, but it has a wood trim on the outside, under the door trim and it is painted white, as well as the rail.

Any suggestions? I've been trying to find a suitable top bracket, but all I've seen so far is for a 5/8" wide rail. Any recommendations on online hardware stores will be greatly appreciated (yeah, I've already tried ebay).

Thanks!
