Bissell carpet cleaner owner - cleaning the unit itself

After i am done cleaning carpet, lot of hairs accumulated in the front glass section (called nozzle i guess) which I used crevice tool as in instruction manual: https://bissellcdn.blob.core.windows.net/cdn-storage-container/Web Portal User Guides/US/35799.pdf. That is all there is to it.
But it is not super clean, there still some residual left. I am wondering if there is any trick not mentioned in the manual?

Pre-vacuum the carpet to remove hair beforehand, clear the nozzle regularly during cleaning, and use slower, overlapping strokes with the crevice tool. Also, check for blockages and clean the filters to maintain strong suction.

Can you get a sight glass brush in the nozzle's opening to get the hair and junk cleaned out? They are long, narrow, nylon brushes on a flexible handle. We don't have a Bissell, but it works on ours (and to clean between the fins on the refrigerator condenser coil).

When I'm really grossed out by the nozzle, I take it off and run it through the dishwasher.

My new Bissell has a wash out feature on the handle. Great for removing stuck hairs and fibers from the wand.
