Hello, I am trying to improve the appearance of my carport. The carport has large window openings at the top of the garage area. It looks like at one point they were actually filled with glass windows. This is a house from the 50's so I bet it had windows at one point. Anyways I need to build a simple frame for the glass company to install 4 pieces of glass to cover the holes to keep animals and other things out. It looks like the frame area had groves that windows slid into, but has fallen into disrepair. Anyways I need help and building a small frame for a single pane glass window. Here are pictures for reference. Thanks!

The real simple is to line the hole with clear cedar 2x4 on the flat. Add 1/2 cedar on the flat on the inside of one side about 1/8 inch set back from the side of the 2x4. stand the glass in and add 1x2 to the other side.
Welcome to the site and congrates on buying the house.
