Long story short - had some rough cut lumber on the ground against the bottom of this fence post. It rotted, impacted the fence post as well. Now this post is leaning out. The other posts are all in good shape.

Looking for a way to fix this without digging out the post. Suggestions? Is there a metal sleeve I could slide down the 4x4? Do I frame up around the bottom above the soil and pour a concrete support pad? The 2x4 is a temporary brace I installed to dig out around the post.

I have driven a angle iron in next to a bad post and then lag screwed it to the post. Will add support and anchor the post.

Thanks for the suggestion. I forgot to mention my post that there is concrete down at the base of the quotes. I dug down as far as I could before I hit it.

In that case I would move over a couple feet and add in a new PT post with a new hole and just leave the old post after cutting the rotted bottom off flush with the bottom of the fence.
