I live in Maryland. The photo shows my backyard. The area between the shed and bamboo is about 20' wide. I want to plant privacy fence trees of some sort, maybe Green Giants. The roof of the shed faces south and it gets a lot of sun during the day but of course the area next to it is partially shaded by the bamboo. Do you think it'll have enough sun for the trees to grow well? Anything specific I need to know before I plant? Should I wait until the Fall or can I plant now? How far apart between the trees? How far away from my property line?

In Maryland a lot of evergreen trees are not native and I have heard that they get toppled a lot by the wind because their root systems are not very strong. If this is an issue for Green Giants, any way I can make them stringer? I do want them to grow pretty tall. TIA!
