Hi all!

Someone who owned my house previously glued industrial-style carpeting to the subflooring in the bathroom. Any ideas how to get that off? Yes, I know it's probably got mold growing, but I can deal with mold. I'd prefer not to replace the subflooring unless absolutely necessary because a) it's a large bath and so will be expensive and b) it's our only bathroom, so the lack of flooring would be a bit inconvenient.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Welcome CindyBode:
The carpet can normally be just ripped up from the floor but might leave a residue of glue on the floor. If it is too big a problem to clean the glue off the wood it can be covered with 1/4" luan plywood underlayment.
